MARION SENIOR CENTER: Fall food on the menu

The senior center is into its fall menu cycle, with such items as beef stew, ham and beans, and vegetable soup in October.
Two birthdays celebrated thus far this month are LaVaughn Klose and Shirley Bowers. Klose brought treats Oct. 3, and Bowers brought “crackers with pzazz” Oct. 6.
Steve Schmidt of McPherson presented a program Oct. 8 about the Cottonwood Crossing Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail Association. He left leaflets about the Marion County Auto Tour of the trail.
On Oct. 22, a program on worship in Russia will be presented by Jackie Volbrecht.
Seniors are asked to look ahead to National Fork Day on Oct. 24 and bring their favorite forks.
