Fall sub-state sites announced

It will be a busy day Oct. 25 for Marion High School sports.

The varsity cross country and volleyball teams will be competing at regional and sub-state competitions in their respective towns.

The Warrior volleyball team will head south to Whitewater to compete in the Whitewater-Remington 3A sub-state.

The format will be a single-elimination, eight-team tournament with the winner heading north Nov. 1 to play at the state tournament in Salina.

Seeds will be based on regular season records.

The boys’ and girls’ cross country teams will run in Gypsum at the Southeast of Saline regional.

The top-10 runners in each race will qualify for the state tournament Nov. 1 at the Wamego Country Club.
