Happy Hustlers 4-H Club to have fundraiser June 26

Thanks to Rachel Collett, Marion Farm and Art Market has been revived after nearly dying off.
“There didn’t seem to be anybody who wanted to step up and coordinate the farmers’ market, and I didn’t want it to fall apart,” Collett said.
She is the contact for vendors as well as groups or individuals that would like to provide a meal or musical entertainment. She can be reached at (620) 381-0288.
There is no fee to set up a table. Collett has only one rule that she plans to enforce: No sales until the courthouse clock chimes 5 p.m.
“It’s only fair to vendors and buyers,” she said.
The market kicks off from 5-7 p.m. at Central Park. Collett said it may be small tonight, but the number of vendors is likely to grow as more produce becomes available.
Darlene Carlson of rural Lincolnville has been a steady vendor at Marion’s market. She expects to be there with fresh flower bouquets, peppers, and possibly zucchini.
Julie Trapp plans to bring fresh eggs and mini pies.
Rachel Olsen of Hillsboro will bring scones, brownies, and other baked goods.
Happy Hustlers 4-H Club is planning to serve a $6 pulled pork meal on June 26.
