The Marion-Florence FFA A-team placed second at the South Central District entomology career development event April 1 at Buhler High School.

Kaylie Waner finished in fifth place overall, with Antone Vinduska in sixth and Tyler Palic in 10th.

Marion placed first in the greenhand division. Alli Hett took first, Tyler Makovec, fourth, Alli Molleker, fifth, Caleb Hett, sixth, Jacob Vondenkamp, seventh, and Jayden Hallowell, ninth.

Students completed a written test on insects and identified 50 insect specimens.

Marion hosted the entomology event, one of four district events at the school that day.
