Florence Gymnasium is closed for the winter, Florence Recreation Director Holly Pereillo said recently.

All activities taking place at the gym, including roller skating, will be suspended until the gym re-opens sometime next spring.

Florence city officials closed the gym to avoid the costs associated with heating the gym to prevent frozen water pipes.
