Letter to the editor:

Thank you for the recent outpouring of help the Marion County Emergency Food Bank received. Local Boy Scouts had their yearly food drive on Oct. 3. Thanks to those scouts, their leaders, and community members who filled the bags.

CROP weekend provided another way to benefit the local food bank with Bread Day in downtown Marion on Oct. 3 and the CROP Walk on Oct. 4. Those who baked or bought, walked, or pledged walkers are greatly appreciated.
