Food bank is grateful

To the editor:

Thanks to the local Duckwall-Alco store’s manager, Janie Meierhoff, for a terrific “Season of Giving,” in Marion.

Her enthusiasm and hard work resulted in nine or more big containers of grocery items going to the Marion County Emergency Food Bank in Marion. The parent company will match these local donations.

Thanks to local Girl Scouts who sorted boxes of items and all other groups and individuals who participated. Together this community does amazing things.
