Marion County game warden Cody Morris spoke to Kiwanis on Tuesday at Cindy’s Family Café.

Morris discussed fishing, wildlife, and boating laws in Kansas. Morris protects wildlife by ensuring people follow regulations.

Morris said most calls he receives this time of year are about unauthorized hunters on private land. Morris advised calling 911 should any problems such as this arise.

Wardens may check private lands for licensed hunters, and hunters need written permission from landowners prior to hunting on their property. Those who own or live on a property do not need a license to hunt there.
