G. George Ens, 90, of Hillsboro, died Feb. 17 at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro.

Born Nov. 10, 1920, in rural Garden City, to Gerhard K. and Anna (Wiebe) Ens, he was a physician.

On Sept. 2, 1954, he married Evelyn Thiessen at Inman. She died in 2009.

He was a member of Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro.

Survivors include two sons, Robert of Lawrence and James of Lecompton; a daughter, Jeanette Knittel of Shawnee; and two grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday morning at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro. The Rev. Steve Schroeder officiated.

Burial was at Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

Memorial funds have been established with Hillsboro Community Foundation Senior Center Endowment Fund and the church.
