George F. Oborny, 81, died Oct. 4 at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.

He was born July 7, 1930, in Durham to John and Elsie Huna Oborny Sr. On April 14, 1956, he married Kathleen Steiner.

He was a farmer and stockman.

A son, George Donald, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of the home; sons Dennis of Salina and David of Marion; daughters Julie Klenda of Lincolnville, Jeannie Blue of Salina, and Jennifer Marshall of Blackwater, Mo.; brothers William of Marysville, Fr. Paul of Wichita, James of Logan, N.M., Robert of Bartlesville, Okla., and John Jr. of Durham; and 14 grandchildren.

A Rosary was Thursday. Funeral services were Friday at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Pilsen. Interment was in Pilsen Cemetery.
