Girl Scout Troop #30113 is collecting Christmas gifts for residents of Marion Assisted Living and St. Luke Living Center.

Destiney Boudreaux, Drew Helmer, Jenna Helmer, and Cassie Meyer have created a “Silver Tree for Our Silver Stars,” that will be on display at Tampa State Bank in Marion from Nov. 24 to Dec. 6.

Stars on the tree have inexpensive gift items residents would like. Anyone can take a star, purchase the gift, and return it to Tampa State Bank. The girls will wrap and deliver the gifts.

The girls created the project in part to work toward the Girl Scout Silver award, which requires a minimum of 50 hours work by each girl to achieve.
