Mr. and Mrs. Larry Phelps of Abilene announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah, to David Goering of Hillsboro, son of Charles and Annora Goering of Marion.

His fiancé is a 2002 graduate of Bethel Christian School. She makes, designs, and sells jewelry.

Goering graduated from Berean Bible Academy in Elbing. He attended Grace College of the Bible in Omaha, Neb., and took a two-year course through Liberty Home Bible Institute. He is the owner of Goering Trucking and is a chaplain for Truckers Christian Chapel at Newell’s Truck Stop in Newton.

A March 9 wedding is planned.
