Golf scores hold steady

Staff writer

Warrior golfers scored 468 as a team after playing 18 holes at the Remington Invitational tournament Thursday in Newton.

“Although we didn’t do as good as before, the guys still held their own,” coach Jim Pohlman said. “Our individual scores were about the same as before.”

Pohlman said he believes the team is improving overall and will keep improving with practice and time.

“Ian Orrock showed the most improvement this time by improving his score by 13 strokes,” he said.

Orrock shot 127 and placed 32nd, Jared Hague shot 106 and placed 17th, Jade Corona shot 118 and placed 26th, Kaden Gibson shot 119 and placed 27th, Jayton Scott shot 125 and placed 31st, and Ezra Darnall shot 134 and placed 33rd.

The Warriors’ next varsity action is at home in Marion.
