LETTERS:   Gratitude from one first responder to another

Gratitude from one first responder to another

To the editor:

This is in response to the article in the Aug. 19 edition of the Marion County Record.

Thank you very much for recognizing the emotional and supportive efforts that are always given freely and 100 percent by First Responders and EMT’s in rural areas and small towns.

It’s hard to imagine the roller coaster of emotions that go through our EMTs as they strive to save those in our small communities who need our help. I have always been grateful and honored to have them, in our rural areas, who will put their lives on hold in order to save another’s.

I wanted to extend a special and heartfelt thanks to all those who give their time and lives in the Marion County area to protect every citizen. Your work, your training, and your personal efforts have far-reaching effects on the lives of all of us.

Thank you very much for all that you do, for the quality of care you provide, and for being there for the rest of us.

God bless each and every one of you.
