The children of Esther Groneman of Lincolnville are requesting a card shower for her in honor of her 100th birthday Dec. 18. Cards may be sent to her at 2872 Banner Rd., Lincolnville, KS 66858.

Family members will gather at the farm on Saturday to celebrate the occasion. They include four children: Lois, her caregiver, Arthur W. and wife, Kandi, of Lincolnville, Nancy Groneman-Hite of Emporia, and Vida Gianakon and husband, Paul, of Hutchinson; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
