Group will perform 1-act plays
Members of the Alumni Radio Players, Marion High School alumni, will present three, one-act plays from the Little Theatre Movement at 8 p.m. Saturday at the USD 408 Performing Arts Center, Marion.
Isaac Guetersloh, Cassy Legg, Lucy Collett, Luke Bowers, TC Edwards, Riley Ross, Emily Svoboda, and Brett Billings will perform “Suppressed Desires” by George Cram Cook and Susan Glaspell, “It Isn’t Done” by Carl Glick, and “A Question of Morality” by Percival Wilde.
Previously the group performed radio dramas but this performance will feature one-act plays with the group keeping its theatrical name.
The Little Theatre Movement began in the early 1920s in the U.S. as a way to present Broadway-quality plays in non-commercial, small venues.
Admission is $2. Proceeds will benefit the Marion High School Theater Department.
