Happy Hustlers 4-H club was called to order by Payton Harms on Sept. 11 at Marion Community Center with four leaders, six parents, 15 members, and 27 guests present.

Corin Parmley reported that the club balance was $724.12. New officers training will take place soon.

Community service day will take place Oct. 8 at the fairgrounds. RSVP by Oct. 2. Record books are due by the end of September. Achievement night is at 6 p.m. Nov. 5. Enrollment starts Oct. 2 online. There is a $15 membership fee.

In old business, we talked about our Old Settlers’ Day float. We still have the float; Tina Groening will get it together.

In new business, new officers were elected.

Lane Smith gave a talk about showing his pig and then we met his pig. Some leaders told us about 4-H and what we do. Tristen Cope led us in a quiz game.

The next meeting is at 7 p.m. Oct. 7 at Marion Community Center.
