Happy Hustlers meet, discuss upcoming events, plans
The February meeting of the Happy Hustlers 4-H club was called to order on Feb. 2. Flag salute was led by Phinneas. The 4-H pledge was led by Luke.
Roll call was your favorite way to spend a snow day. Roll call was answered by 14 members, four leaders, five parents, and no guests.
The club was reminded of 4-H Day and a county skating party. Beef project members — March 7 is steer tagging and weigh-in day. The Reading kids are working on a Dr. Seuss Reading Day at the library. They are also planning a book swap project for the community. People can bring a gently used book, and then take home a gently used book. It will be the last Saturday of March at the Sports & Aquatic Center. There is a horse meeting next Monday. Equifest is Feb. 14, 15, and 16. There will be a sewing meeting soon. Foods members were told about the table setting contest for 4-H day.
Tristan led music appreciation. We sang Happy Birthday to February birthdays and Kids Under Construction.
Elizabeth gave a talk on How to Give a Reading at Club Days. Tristan led recreation in a relay race.
Grace made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
