Grandson’s engagement told

Gary and Karen Korte of Emporia and Jay and Nicki Hauser of Liberal announce the engagement of their children, Erin Korte and Jayson Hauser.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Forrest and Marie Anderson of Burdick, Mary Korte of Arkansas City, and the late Tony Korte.

Bobby Gerloff of Woodward, Okla., and the late Roy and Wanda Hauser, formerly of Centralia, Okla., are the prospective groom’s grandparents.

Korte graduated from Emporia High School and Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is a leasing consultant for a management company.

Her fiancé graduated from Liberal High School and received degrees in information and network technology from Manhattan Area Technical College and technology management from KSU. He is employed by the Kansas University Public Management Center in Topeka.

The couple are graduate students, pursuing Master of Business Administration degrees at Washburn University.

They plan to be married Oct. 1 at First Lutheran Church in Topeka.
