Lindsay Hett was the MVP of the Mid-Central Activities Association and Heart of America basketball all-star game, scoring 15 points. She played the post most of the game

“It just further solidifies that she is the best all-around point guard in 3A,” Marion Head Basketball Coach Randy Savage said.

Travis Hett, Lindsay’s older brother, was the MVP of the boys game in 2007.

Savage was one of two all-star coaches for MCAA team.

Zeiner had 14 points. The two Marion players led the MCAA team in scoring.

Savage said the highlight of the game was when Hett threw an outlet pass to Hillsboro forward Dakota Kaufman who quickly passed the ball to a sprinting Zeiner for the layup

“It was about as fast as you can catch and throw,” Savage said.

The MCAA team won the game, 75-59, pressing and running the floor for most of the game.
