Hilda Thiessen, 97, of Hillsboro, died Feb. 1, at Hillsboro.

She was born Oct. 16, 1913, in rural Buhler, to John T. and Margaret (Esau) Ediger.

She was a homemaker and a member of Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro.

On Feb. 13, 1938, she married Sam Thiessen in Buhler. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Richard of Fresno, Calif., and Leon of Santa Maria, Calif.; three daughters, Leona Friesen of Hillsboro, Norma Johnson of Denver, Colo., and Betty Graf of Sedalia, Colo.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church of Hillsboro with the Rev. Roy Keller officiating.

Burial was at Gnadenau Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.

A memorial fund has been established with Mennonite Brethren Missions and Services in care of Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
