Kansas State University student Nellie Hill was among more than 75 students who participated this week of spring break in service learning projects coordinated by the K-State School of Leadership Studies.

Hill was among students assisting with One Mission Galveston, a rebuilding project in Galveston, Texas.

Other projects were an alternative school for pregnant and parenting teens in Denver, a boys and girls club in Chicago, children’s projects in New Orleans, service projects in Taos, N.M., St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., and AIDS service in Dallas.

Kevin and Teresa Hill of Marion are Hill’s parents.
