Aug. 10: Officers took a harassment complaint and checked on suspicious activity.
Aug. 11: Police responded to a possible child abuse complaint, returned lost property, and assisted a person stranded in a wheelchair.
Aug. 12: Officers took a trespass complaint and attended child interview training.
Aug. 13: Police recovered suspicious property, checked on suspicious activity, and took a traffic complaint as well as several dog complaints.
Aug. 14: Officers responded to a fire alarm at Tabor College, investigated a possible attempted theft, and checked an animal neglect complaint.
Aug. 15: Police checked a suspicious vehicle, responded to a report of a disorderly person, and took complaints of harassment and trespassing. Charges also are pending against a 16-year-old Hillsboro boy who allegedly trespassed in the 400 block of E. First St.
Aug. 16: Police took a report of two suspicious people, addressed a possible safety issue in the park, and arrested Jess Croley, 20, of Hillsboro, who allegedly had an outstanding warrant for obstruction, disorderly conduct, and minor in consumption.
Aug. 18: Officers monitored traffic, investigated illegal parking, and investigated a non-injury traffic accident in Casey’s parking lot.
Aug. 19: Police investigated an abandoned vehicle at Tabor College for which the owner was identified.
Aug. 20: Officers returned lost property and performed traffic enforcement.
Thursday: Police monitored school zones, investigated a bicycle theft, and performed traffic enforcement. Officers also arrested Justin Stahlecker, 33, of Wichita, who allegedly had warrants out for driving under the influence and driving while suspended.
Friday: Officers investigated traffic complaints, the theft of yard-sale money, and reports of threatening comments spoken among juveniles.
Saturday: Police investigated a fireworks complaint and recovered a possible biohazard that was dumped in a parking lot.
