Nov. 21: Stolen property was recovered in the 400 block of South Ash Street. Cub Scouts toured the police department. An abandoned bicycle was picked up in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue. A noise complaint was reported in the Tabor College dorms in the 400 block of South Adams Street. Suspicious activity was checked in the 400 block of North Adams Street.

Nov. 22: Assistance with an investigation was provided to the sheriff’s office. The U.S. Personnel Agency received assistance with a background investigation. A lost credit card was returned. Two bicycles were returned to owners. A domestic disturbance was reported in the 100 block of North Birch Street, when a male who appeared to be intoxicated was beating on a resident’s door and yelling; the male was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail.

Nov. 23: Hillsboro High School reported two truant students. A peddler’s permit was issued at city hall. A traffic complaint was checked in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A stolen bicycle was returned to the owner.

Nov. 24: A court services officer received assistance with a bond condition violation. A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 100 block of North Washington Street. An individual reported a lost debit card.

Thursday: A child custody complaint was reported in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue, when an individual reported that his ex-girlfriend took his child out of state against a court order. A traffic complaint was filed in the 100 block of East C Street. A motorist received assistance in the 500 block of East D Street.

Friday: A motorist received assistance at Ash and Orchard streets. A suspicious odor was reported near Ash and Third streets. A noise complaint was checked in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue.

Saturday: A driver was arrested on a driver’s license violation and transported to jail. The sheriff’s office received assistance with cattle crossing on a road. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of South Main Street. An open building was searched in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street.
