Nov. 28: A traffic complaint was checked at Main and Grand streets. Hillsboro Fire Department received assistance with a fire alarm at Tabor College. A property dispute was reported in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue.

Nov. 29: Assistance was provided to emergency medical services personnel with a call in the 400 block of South Main Street. A 911 disconnect was checked in the 100 block of South Wilson Street. Stolen road signs from Tabor College were recovered. A civil process was served in the 300 block of South Cedar Street. An individual reported concerns of someone violating probation. Substandard living conditions were reported in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue and were referred to social services.

Nov. 30: A theft was reported in the 100 block of South Main Street; the item was later located and had not been stolen. Officers attended municipal court. Assistance was provided in serving an arrest warrant. An individual reported a protection from abuse order violation; the subject reported her ex-boyfriend was harassing by means of an electronic device.

Dec. 1: A commercial alarm was activated in the 100 block of North Ash Street. A dog complaint was checked in the 300 block of Prairie Point Street. A funeral escort was provided. Officers provided assistance in checking fuel levels at Hillsboro Municipal Airport. A vacant house in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue was searched as requested by the landlord; drug paraphernalia was located and seized. An individual was fingerprinted for employment.

Thursday: A dispute between a landlord and a tenant in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue was determined to be a civil matter. A welfare concern was checked in the 400 block of South Main Street. A probation violation was reported in the 500 block of East D Street. Lynn County Court Services received assistance with an investigation. An individual in the 400 block of South Date Street reported being harassed electronically when they received unwanted texts from an unknown person. A dog complaint was checked in the 300 block of South Birch Street.

Friday: A dog complaint was checked in the 200 block of East First Street. A parking complaint was reported in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street, when a car was parked across a sidewalk. An officer attended K-9 training. Assistance was provided with a child custody transfer. City county packets were delivered. Excessive smoke was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street.

Saturday: A natural gas leak was reported in the 200 block of South Lincoln Street. Several citations were issued for blocking an alley in the 200 block of South Madison and the 200 block of South Adams streets. A stray dog was picked up in the 200 block of South Washington Street. A vehicle was reported blocking alley access in the 200 block of South Madison Street.
