April 8: Officers located two juveniles making prank calls to dispatch. A motorist was assisted. A child custody dispute was mediated; a custodial parent refused to give custody to a non-custodial parent. A dog complaint was checked.

April 9: Officers destroyed a diseased animal near the golf course. A person was fingerprinted for employment. Suspicious activity was checked in the 600 block of North Ash Street. Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff’s officers with a civil process. An officer conducted a DARE class at Hillsboro Elementary School. Officers conducted two Vehicle Identification Number inspections. A person reported suspicious activity by a company that installed an alarm system. Officers assisted the Kansas Bureau of Investigation with an investigation. A dog complaint was checked. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of South Main Street.

April 10: A non-injury accident in the 300 block of Floral Drive was worked; damage was under $1,000 and no report was needed. A camper hookup was performed. A person reported being harassed by an ex-wife via text. A non-injury accident was worked. An officer seized stolen property from a pawnshop in Wichita. A person reported vandalism to property in the 400 block of South Wilson Street. A person reported a lost or stolen vehicle registration tag.

April 11: Officers assisted a federal agency with background investigation. Officers assisted a resident locked out of his or her home. A parking complaint was checked. Officers assisted a subject needing medical attention in the 400 block of South Main Street. Officers assisted Harvey County Sheriff’s officers with an accident report. A person reported he was repossessing a vehicle in the 100 block of North Jefferson. Suspicious activity was checked in the Memorial Park restrooms. A motorist was assisted. Curfew violations in Memorial Park were checked.

April 12: Officer radars were recertified. A dog complaint was checked. Officers assisted the McPherson Police Department with an investigation. A dog complaint was checked. A motorist was assisted. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of North Main Street.

April 13: Officers checked weather watch equipment in preparation of possible severe weather. A non-injury accident was worked; it was minor damage and neither party requested a report. Officers assisted Lifeteam with a helicopter landing.

April 14: Officers operated the weather watch base due to severe weather. Officers contacted key holders to open storm shelters. A dog complaint was checked. Officers advised high school and auction personnel at the fairgrounds of severe weather event. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of North Main Street.
