July 15 — Police investigated a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of W. Grand Ave. An ambulance was sent for a possible overdose. Three children were taken into protective custody and placed in foster care. Charges are pending.

Officers stood by to keep the peace during a child custody exchange and a property transfer, investigated another domestic disturbance in the 200 block of North Jefferson Street, and could find no evidence of violence after a third party’s report of a disturbance in the 400 block of South Ash Street.

July 16 — Officers responded to a dog complaint in the 200 block of North Jefferson Street and a concern about animal welfare in in the 300 block of South Main Street.

Also investigated were a non-injury hit-and-run accident in the 400 block of North Ash St., a report of possible check fraud in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street, and a report of a missing bicycle in the 100 block of West Grand Avenue.

July 17 — Another domestic disturbance was investigated in the 200 block of East Grand Avenue.

July 18 — A suspicious person was reported in the 100 block of North Main Street. A disturbance in the 400 block of South Main Street led to an officer standing by during a child custody transfer.

Thursday — Officers checked on a dog complaint in the 500 block of East D Street, a suspicious person in the 600 block of West Grand Avenue, curfew violations in Memorial Park, suspicious activity in the 100 block of South Main Street and at the fairgrounds, and parking complaints in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street and the 400 block of South Adams Street. An abandoned bicycle was recovered in the 300 block of North Main Street and its owner was later located.

Friday — A parking complaint in the 300 block of South Washington Street was investigated.

Saturday — Officers investigated a dog complaint in the 200 block of North Jefferson Street.
