July 22: Officers assisted Marion County Emergency Medical Services with a report of a suicidal person in the 900 block of East D Street; this was a false complaint; the victim said the call came from another person who had been harassing her and that she was not suicidal.

July 23: Officers performed a civil stand-by in the 400 block of West Grand Avenue; a landlord removed property from a rental house.

July 24: An out-of-control subject was reported; the subject was transported to a mental health facility.

July 27: A residential alarm was tripped in the 700 block of West Grand Avenue. A dog bite was reported in the 300 block of East A Street; the person reported that an 8-year-old was bitten by a dog. A person was reported kicking a sign at the corner of Grand Avenue and Ash Street; the suspect was located and appeared intoxicated; the same subject had approached several people earlier and offered drugs in exchange for a ride; the officer on scene also dealt with the subject during a verbal domestic disturbance; the subject has been charged with various counts and was arrested.

July 28: Officers assisted EMS with an unconscious person in a parking lot in the 300 block of North Ash Street; the subject was belligerent to EMS and police officers; while at Hillsboro Community Medical Center, the subject threatened medical staff and officers and struck two police officers; the subject was transported to Marion County Jail where he was held on a $25,000 bond.

July 29: A domestic disturbance was reported in the 200 block of South Cedar Street; it was a physical altercation between boyfriend and girlfriend; charges are pending against both. A damage complaint was filed in the 200 block of North Main Street; a person reported a mailbox being knocked over.

July 31: A person reported a possible phone scam.

Saturday: A person reported being bitten by a skunk in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street; the skunk was killed and sent in for testing.
