Hillsboro police report

Feb. 26: A dog complaint was checked. A motorist was assisted. Suspicious activity was checked.

Feb. 27: Officers worked a non-injury accident. Officers worked a second non-injury accident. Officers responded to the hospital for an assault report; a person reported getting kicked in the neck.

Feb. 28: Suspicious activity was checked. Officers assisted Marion County Attorney Susan Robson with an investigation. Officers arrested a subject in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street on an outstanding warrant. A domestic disturbance in the 300 block of North Birch Street was checked; a woman reported being struck by her out-of-control 12-year-old son. Officers warned Hillsboro High School staff about a tornado warning. Officers monitored severe weather.

Feb. 29: An injury accident was reported at intersection of Ash Street and U.S. 56. A traffic complaint was checked in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street. A lost wallet was returned to an owner. Officers assisted with two skunks trapped in a window well in the 700 block of South Main Street.

March 1: Officers assisted Emergency Medical Services. A person reported welfare concerns for an adult. A traffic complaint was checked. Officers assisted Wichita Police Department with an investigation.

March 2: A non-injury accident was worked. A stolen laptop was recovered from a pawn shop. A suicide attempt was stopped in the 500 block of South Wilson Street; a Hillsboro woman was transported by EMS to a Salina mental health facility. A person was arrested for driving with a suspended license and no insurance. A commercial alarm was checked in the 300 block of North Ash Street.

March 3: Officers located water running out of a business in the 300 block of North Ash Street. A motorist was assisted on U.S. 56. Officers assisted other agency with driving under the influence arrest.
