Hillsboro police report

June 17: Officers took a complaint of someone driving on the grass in Memorial Park. A report was taken of someone operating an unauthorized vehicle in an alley along South Birch Street.

June 18: A person from out of state reported a welfare concern for a missing relative that may have been in Hillsboro. A theft was reported on South Ash Street; a person reported a construction sign was removed from near the roadway near the south city limits on Ash Street. Officers located and seized a pit bull running at large; the dog was not allowed to return within the city limits.

June 19: A commercial alarm was checked in the 200 block of North Main Street.

June 20: A person reported his daughter was missing; he said she had gone to Hillsboro to visit someone and never returned. A damage complaint was reported in the 300 block of North Washington; a person reported someone had damaged the mirror on a disabled vehicle parked in his drive. Suspicious activity was reported in the 100 block of South Elm Street. A person in the 400 block of North Ash Street reported that she could not find her cell phone and that the neighbors in her apartment complex were harassing her. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of North Main Street.

Friday: Officers mediated a neighbor dispute in the 500 block of East First Street. Officers assisted counselors with security at a children’s camp held at Tabor College.

Saturday: A non-injury vehicle accident was worked in Hillsboro Heights. A person reported strange activity at his residence in the trailer court in the 300 block of West Third Street.
