Hillsboro’s Senior Babe Ruth baseball team advanced to the fourth round of state tournament before being eliminated Sunday.

Hillsboro opened the tournament Friday with a 12-5 victory over Marion in Independence. Hillsboro lost 11-1 to Columbus Saturday. Then they defeated Wellington 12-6 Sunday before being eliminated in an 8-5 loss later in the day to Abilene.

After their opening round loss to Hillsboro, Marion lost 11-1 to Abilene and was eliminated Saturday.
