Hospital official reviews renovation timeline

Renovation plans for St. Luke Hospital continue to move forward.

According to Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Armstrong, design development plans are being finalized. Department heads have met with the architects, Spangenberg Phillips Tice Architecture, regarding the layout and replacement of equipment and fixtures.

“We are very close to completion of the plans,” Armstrong said. “The architects will review the plans with Hutton Construction and update the budgeted construction costs.”

An updated timeline will be reviewed with the hospital’s financial adviser this week. Final changes are being made to a bond resolution and preliminary official statement.

“We had hoped to have the documents completed at this point but with the holidays and several parties involved, the process has taken more time.”

Armstrong said he hoped to have the documents finalized by the end of January.

“At that point, they will be sent for a rating review. After the review and rating decision has been made, the board will meet and make a decision regarding the issuance of bonds,” he said.
