Ilse Shields, 77, of Marion, died May 14 at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.

She was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Mageburg, Germany, and came to the U.S. in 1967.

She was a certified nurse aide at the former St. Luke Hospital West Wing. She was a member of Valley United Methodist Church, Marion.

A son, Casey, and a grandchild preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Barry of McPherson; two daughters, Holly Robinson of Marion and Monica Farrow of Danville, Ark.; a sister, Inge Barteles of West Germany; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

No services are scheduled at this time.
