Thefts

A speaker system and amplifier were taken from a vehicle at 1190 280th Road, Durham. The incident was reported at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 24. The items were valued at $900. The front driver’s side window and back window were damaged. The vehicle belonged to Ashley Lynn Friesen, 205 S. Date St., Hillsboro.

A Honda four-wheel all-terrain vehicle, valued at $3,500, was taken from 1762 Limestone Road, Hillsboro. Gary D. Helmer, 134 S. Lincoln St., Marion, reported the theft at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 24.

Damage to property

Patty Putter, 1750 180th Road, Marion, reported a tenant had damaged her rental property at 117 S. Cedar St., Marion, after being evicted for non-payment. Carpeting, vinyl flooring, curtain rods and drapes, and paint and wallpaper, valued at $2,197, were damaged.
