Four Warrior wrestlers combine to go 22-3

Cody Wildin and Tylor Neil continue to dominate, while Andy Shipman, and Adam and Randy Regnier get better every match.
That certainly was the case Saturday at the Onaga dual tournament when the five lost only three matches combined, and accounted for two first-place and second-place finishes, and a lone third-place finish.
Neil (145-pounds) and Wildin (130) each went 5-0 at Onaga and claimed championships in their respective weight classes.
Wildin, who ranks sixth in the state, now leads the team in winning percentage at .920 with a 23-2 record. Neil is the team’s win-leader at 27-5.
Shipman and both Regniers were 4-1 Saturday. Shipman (125) and Randy Regnier (119) came home with second-place medals.
Adam Regnier had some bad luck, finishing third after losing a three-way tie for first place.
As a team, the Warriors were 3-2 during one of the busiest tournaments of the year.
The wrestlers won’t experience this much action during one day until Feb. 20 at the Garden Plain regionals.
MHS started well, defeating Horton, 44-15, in the first round.
The Warriors then lost to Burlington, 55-24, and Onaga, 39-33, before bouncing back with two more victories.
In round four Marion defeated Pleasant Ridge, 42-33, and ended the day with a 42-32 victory against Rock Creek.
MHS has just two more meets until regionals begin. The team will wrestle Thursday at Haven, and end the regular season Saturday at the Chase County invitational.
