Ira Hein

Ira W. Hein, 86, of Hillsboro, died July 1 at Via Christi St. Francis Burn Unit, Wichita.

Born Dec. 8, 1922, to Henry and Tina (Duerksen) Hein in rural Hillsboro, he married Hilda Suderman on March 14, 1944, in Hillsboro.

He was a farmer and a rancher.

His wife and a brother, Irvin Hein, preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, Rodney of Hillsboro; a brother, Emice of Hillsboro; a sister, Viola Reeves of Wichita; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were 11 a.m. Monday at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro. The Rev. Dave Plett presided.

There was a private burial.

Memorials may be made to the church.
