Jack Deason Sr.

Jack Dale Deason Sr., 70, of Aulne, died Oct. 24, 2008, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

He was a baker.

Born Sept. 9, 1938, in Shawnee, Okla., he was the son of Othel and Viola (McKinnon) Deason.

On July 26, 1976, he married Irene Deason.

Survivors include his wife of the home; seven children; a sister, Sue Jones of Quinton, Ark.; a brother, Othel Deason Jr. of Bartlesville, Okla., and numerous grandchildren.

Funeral services were today (Wednesday) at Baker Funeral Home, Peabody, with Pastor James Pohlman presiding. Burial was at Claney Cemetery, rural Marion.

A memorial fund has been established with Kansas Wildlife Trust.
