Dainne Reanne Shipman of Florence and James Edward Cyr of Marion announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Parents of the couple are Don and Deb Shipman of Florence and Carl Cyr of McPherson and the late Anne Cyr.

The bride-elect graduated in 2002 from Marion High School. She is employed by Tampa State Bank, Marion.

Her fiancé is a 1992 graduate of Marion High School and is employed by Williams Service of Florence.

A July 25 wedding is planned at St. Patrick Catholic Church of Florence, Holy Family Parish.
