James Reid

James “Putt” Reid, 49, Vail, Colo., died Nov. 23, 2008.

He was a maintenance worker.

Born Feb. 24, 1959 at Marion, he was the son of Leo and Neva (Baskins) Reid. He graduated in 1977 from Marion High School.

He married Tena Maggard in 1980 at Marion.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother, Michael David.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Johsanna and Carlos Perez of Vail, Colo., and Nicole Reid (Jessy Thouvenell) of Marion; mother and stepfather, Neva and Ed Robinson of Florence; three brothers, Reilly Reid of Florence, Tom “Perch” Reid of Marion, and Kevin Reid of Maize; a sister, Kristin Parrino of Dallas, Texas; step-siblings, Jackie Sigwing, Ed Robinson Jr., and Kevin Robinson, all of Florence; and two grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Marion Presbyterian Church.

The Jim Reid Memorial Fund has been established to assist with final expenses and may be made in care of the funeral home.
