Janessa Esperanza Garcia

Michael and Pamela Garcia of Newton announce the birth of a daughter, Janessa Esperanza Garcia, at 2:03 a.m. Dec. 24, 2008, at Newton Medical Center.

She weighed 5 pounds 14 ounces and was 17 inches long.

Grandparents are Gerald and Estella (Garcia) Perry of Sahuaritade Chapalla, Ariz., and Dwight and Jerrie Kruse of Marion.

Great-grandmother is Yolanda Garcia of Newton.
