R. Jayann Jacobson-Schneider, 54, of Herington, died Nov. 4 at Kaye Pogue Hospice Center, Salina.

Born April 2, 1956, in Kansas City, Mo., to Ira and Patricia (Bartholomew) Huls, she was a homemaker and former assistant funeral director of Brockmeier Funeral Home in Herington.

On Dec. 1, 1985, she married Gary Schneider.

Survivors include her husband, Gary; two daughters, Ginger Cliffton of Salina and Vicky Lauseng of Herington; three brothers, Victor of Hope, Michael of Florida, and Danny of Burns; two sisters, Rosalie of El Dorado and Marie Runions of Rich Hill, Mo.; two stepchildren, Jeff Schneider of Platt City, Mo., and Carrie Key of East Strasburg, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jayann’s grandchildren’s educational fund in care Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
