Jeffrey L. Tomlinson, 63, passed away May 17, 2013, at St. Luke Hospital in Marion as a result of cancer. He was born Nov. 9, 1949, in Charleston, W. Va. He was the son of Robert and Virginia (Berry) Tomlinson.

Jeff was an Army veteran who proudly served his country in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968.

On Oct. 9, 1971, he was married to Rita (Stika) Tomlinson of Marion.

Jeff’s last job was manager of the Marion Pizza Hut after being a semi-truck driver for over 40 years.

Survivors include his loving wife Rita; a son, Gary Tomlinson of Marion; a daughter, Karen Dornbush of Newton; a brother, Michael Tomlinson and wife Laurinda and their children of Colorado; and four grandchildren, Jackon, Jimi, Emily, and Caleb.

He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Virginia Tomlinson and an infant brother, Daniel.

Funeral services will be held at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Interment with military rites will be in the Marion Cemetery, Marion, Kan.
