Jenifer Mellies and Brett Hajek were married May 30 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish, in Pilsen. Father Jim Mainzer of Newton officiated.
Parents of the couple are Jeff and Connie Mellies of Silver Lake and Ron and Leona Hajek of Lost Springs.
Grandparents are Allen and Dorothy Ralib of Dodge City, Dwaine Mellies of Clay Center and the late Glenda Mellies, Mildred Hajek of Lost Springs and the late Albert Hajek, and the late Robert and Josephine Richmond.
Portia Wright of Dodge City, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Allie Will of Lost Springs, Raina Lloyd of Dodge City, Kristen Hanzlicek of Newton, and Bella Jordao of Sorocaba, San Paulo, Brazil, all friends of the bride.
Brandon Mitchell of Salina, friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jesse Smith of Pilsen, friend of the groom; Darrin and Trent Hajek, both of Lost Springs, brothers of the groom; and Tyler Richmond of Marion, cousin of the groom.
Jazmine Gaden and Precious Golden, both of Ford, cousins of the bride, Eryn Chadwell of Newton, friend of the bride; and Kelsey Mitchell of Salina, friend of the groom, were flower princesses.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Silver Lake High School and attends Wichita State University. She is employed by Kidron Bethel Village of North Newton.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Centre High School. He received training at Salina Area Technical School in diesel technology. He is employed by Bob Bergkamp Construction of Wichita.
The couple resides in Newton.
