WEDDINGS:   Jennison-DaProza

Cheryl Jennison and Keith DaProza, both of Chicago, Ill., were married Jan. 5, 2009.

The ceremony and reception were held aboard the cruise ship Carnival Fantasy in New Orleans, La. officiating at the ceremony was Pastor David Killingsworth of Baldwin.

The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Beverly (Bowers) Jennison of Stilwell. Grandparents are Shirley Bowers of Marion and the late David Bowers, and Delores Jennison of Latham and the late Leonard Jennison.

Parents of the groom are Anna DaProza of El Paso, N.M., and Jerry and Kim DaProza of Channahon, Ill. Grandparents are Leo and June DaProza of Braham, Minn., and the late Louis and Mary Jimmie.

For something old, the bride wore her Grandmother Jennison’s engagement diamond ring set in a heart necklace. A strapless chiffon over satin gown with an empire waist, featuring a crystal brooch was something new. Something borrowed was a garter her Grandmother Bowers wore on her wedding day and something blue was feathers from the couple’s bird, Solomon, which were placed in the bride’s bouquet and the groom’s boutonniere.

Aurora Meyers of Wichita, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. The best man was the groom’s brother, Todd DaProza of Richardson, Texas. Abigail Paden of Newton, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book.

The couple cruised on the ship for five days with stops at Cozumel and Progreso. Seventy-five family members and friends joined the couple for the wedding and many continued the cruise with the couple.

The bride is a graduate of Blue Valley high School in Stilwell and Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Mo. She is employed at Future Electronics in Chicago.

The groom graduated from Streamwood High School in Streamwood, Ill. He teaches percussion at the Chicago School of Rock. Both the bride and groom are members of a Pink Floyd tribute band, Think Floyd. Keith is the drummer and Cheryl provides vocals.

The couple resides in Chicago.
