Jeremiah Stang
Charles Jeremiah Stang, 18, passed away surrounded by his family on July 24, 2009, at Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident July 22 in northern Marion County.
He was born on March 15, 1991, in Sedgwick. He was employed by Harms Plainview Ranch and had previously worked at Carlsons’ Grocery.
He had graduated from high school and was planning to attend Kansas State University to study business and finance.
He was active in 4-H, horse judging, missions, Marion Presbyterian Church, and the church’s youth group.
Jeremiah enjoyed making new and keeping old friends.
He is survived by his parents, Cheryl (Sheets) Stang and Jim Stang, both of Marion; siblings Amanda (David) Morse of Wichita, Brandon West of Manhattan, Jessica West of Ft. Campbell, Ky., and Joseph, Nathaniel, Victoria, Cassandra, and Shepherd Stang of Marion; grandparents Charles and Mary Ann Sheets of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Marvin and Mary Jo Stang of Wichita; nieces Tatum, Skye, and Lotus Morse; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Zeiner Funeral Home.
Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion, with the Rev. Jeremiah Lange presiding.
Interment was to be in Marion Cemetery.
