Members of the FBLA chapter at Centre High School participated in a competition Feb. 5 at Canton-Galva High School.
Jacob Jirak was Centre’s top individual with a first-place finish in Business Law and second-place finishes in Public Speaking II, Economics, and Business Communications.
The Par Law team — Tanner Brunner, Brian Burhoop, Katie Remy, Ty Simons, and Cole Svoboda — took second place.
Other individual placers were Burhoop, fourth in Accounting II; Brunner, fourth in Job Interview; James Wyatt, fifth in Computer Applications, ninth in Business Math, and 10th in Accounting; Anna Weber, fifth in Client Service and seventh in Public Speaking I.
Adam Matz, ninth in Networking Concepts; Chi Do, seventh in Accounting I; and Tanner Peterson, 10th, Justin Deines, eighth, and Grant Srajer, fifth, in Introduction to Par Law.
The Network Design Team — Matz, Trevor Hageberg, and Tyler Klenda — took third place; Global Business Team —Jirak, Dani Spohn, and Beca Basore — fourth; Desktop Publishing Team — Weber and Basore — fifth; and Entrepreneurship Team — Weber, Remy, and Hageberg — ninth.
Cacey Simons, Tim Vinduska, and Chad Mueller also competed.
Those who placed will compete March 31 to April 1 at the State FBLA Leadership Conference in Topeka.
