Francis and Mary Jirak of Tampa announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristine Anne Jirak, to Mitchell Haig Simpson, son of Jim and Janice Simpson of Wichita.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Centre High School and a 2011 graduate of Benedictine College in Atchison. She works as a graphic designer at Solutio Inc. in Colwich.

The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Bishop Carroll Catholic High School in Wichita and a 2011 graduate of Conception Seminary College in Conception, Mo. He is working on a master’s degree in management information systems and is a quality assurance test engineer at Netapp in Wichita.

They will marry on July 12, 2014, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen.
