John Henry Lindau, 87, of Colorado Springs, Colo., passed away June 7, 2010, at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs.

John was born on Christmas Day, 1922, in Lincolnville, Kansas. In 1947, he married Mary Lee Stewart, who preceded him in death in 1995.

John served in the United States Navy and graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for Stratford Engineering Corporation from 1952 through 1979, and served as a consultant to engineering companies prior to retiring in 1984.

He lived his entire life in his beloved State of Kansas until moving to Colorado in 2003.

John is survived by his two children, Mary R. Klever and John H. Lindau Jr. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Bryan and Sean Klever; and two great-grandchildren, Terryn and Drew Klever.
