At the invitation of the Governor, Kirsten Johnson of Burdick was selected to attend the 26th annual Governor’s Scholar Awards Program May 3 in Topeka.

A recognition ceremony honored the top academic one percent of Kansas high school seniors. Scholars were selected from accredited public and private schools in the state.

This program is coordinated for the Governor by the Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task Force. It is funded by donations from Kansas Bankers Association and other private sector businesses in Kansas.
