June Starkel

June M. Starkel, 75, died Feb. 21, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center of Hutchinson.

She was a realtor.

Born June 17, 1933, at Clements, she was the daughter of Clarence and Bertha (Roberts) Widler.

On Dec. 23, 1951, she married Eugene V. Starkel.

Her parents and siblings, Mildred Frisbie, Rich Widler, Lester Widler, and Lyle Widler preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Gene; a son, Jerry Starkel of McPherson; three sisters, Betty Pruitt of Derby, Myrtle Jackson of El Dorado, and Joan Kelsheimer of Cedar Point; a brother, Bill Widler of Cedar Point; and three grandchildren.

Services were today (Wednesday) at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.

Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery of Florence.

A memorial fund has been established with McPherson Public Library and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
